The working principle of

PDLC Film structure is a mixture of liquid crystal and polymer sandwiched between two ITO conductive films. The polymer is reticulated and liquid crystal droplets composed of liquid crystal are filled in the gap. The liquid crystal molecules in each droplet are aligned to form a single axial liquid crystal body, but the optical axes of different liquid crystal droplets are arranged in a disorderly manner. ITO conductive film is a sheet of polyester film coated with ITO conductive layer, which has conductive effect. When the light through the ITO conductive film, along the direction of propagation through network polymer, liquid crystal droplets in turn, polymer network and liquid crystal droplets, in the absence of under the action of electric field, due to the liquid crystal droplets optical axis unsystematic arrangement, make the light in the liquid crystal droplets and network polymer interface mie scattering, thus rendering opaque state, and under the action of electric field, due to the liquid crystal droplets optical axis and orderly arrangement, allowing light to penetrate and liquid crystal droplets network polymer interface, thus rendering transparent state.
