Glass is not only transparent, but also high in strength and hardness. It is an indispensable material in daily production and life. There are many types of glass, in addition to the more common float glass and tempered glass, there are special properties such as hot-melt glass, laminated glass and frosted glass.
1) The strength of the former is several times that of the latter, the tensile strength is more than three times that of the latter, and the impact resistance is more than five times that of the latter.
2) Tempered glass is not easy to be broken, even if it is broken, it will be broken in the form of particles without sharp angles, which will greatly reduce the damage to human body.
The main economic and technical indicators of glass polishing are characterized by polishing efficiency, dimensional accuracy of the edge of the processed glass, brightness, and consumption of the polishing tool or the life of the polishing tool. Although the performance of the glass edger, the grinding method, the cooling method, the rotation speed, the inherent quality of the glass itself and the technical level of the operator also affect the glass polishing.
The rough grinding edge is only 1-3 round diamond wheel for edging and chamfering, and the edge is allowed to have uneven grinding; in general, the rough grinding edge is mostly artificial grinding.
Grinding wheel on horizontal glass edger
The tempered glass is generally not recommended for edging. 1. Firstly, if the No. 1 wheel is slightly adjusted during the edging process, the glass will be broken or even the conveyor belt may be scrapped (we will scrape off 2 timing belts). 2. After tempering and edging. How much will damage the compressive stress layer of tempered glass and the probability of self-explosion will increase. Do not choose to temper after tempering. Tempered glass must be finely ground. This is a technical problem.
Like LOW-E glass, it needs rough grinding because it can't touch water and can't be machined.
